I am very pleased that they would like to know more about me. Let me briefly introduce myself. In a nutshell, I am an international executive with +15 years of experience in:

PRO-FESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

My first professional experience after graduation was with an Australian startup in New York City – MobiNow. I was entrusted with the global sales and customer service agendas of a mobile dating platform. Today you would say a WAP based Tinder. My biggest successes were successfully negotiating contracts with major global mobile network operators like T-Mobile, Orange, Hutchison, Bouygues Telecom, Simyo, Indosat and some smaller ones.

As every dream comes to an end, I moved on from the start-up world after two years to take the next big steps back in Vienna as Client Services Director at emarsys. (emarsys = global software company for SaaS solutions – specifically email marketing and marketing automation) For 4 years I had the pleasure to build up the customer service in Austria and Switzerland. The task included working with well-known customers on digital strategies (focus: email marketing, multi-channel and data management), developing my employees and learning a lot myself. In the fourth year I was appointed to the executive level as VP Consulting to build up global pre & post sales departments for 4 divisions. An incredibly exciting challenge with 25 employees in 11 international offices!

For 3 more years I was Digital and Training Manager, and then Business Technology Solutions Manager, responsible for digitally developing the green field of an American pharmaceutical company (AbbVie) so that a successfully growing flower meadow emerged.

EDUCATION

After a technical high school education (industrial engineering with focus on IT), I studied International Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, specializing in “International Marketing & Management” and “Information Systems”.

After many long-distance trips and times abroad, I knew that I wanted to pursue an international orientation professionally. And after HTL I also knew that IT/technology would always remain an exciting area for me, but should not be the focus of my studies.

I completed my academic education with an MBA in Global Business at the University of St. Louis-Missouri.

KERSTIN WAGNER PRIVATE

In my spare time, I am an avid world traveler. I would love nothing more than to plan trips day in and day out and then experience them (adventurously).

I love living in Vienna as a Viennese, but have lived and spent a few years in Spain, the USA and Hong Kong in my life.

For a very long time it was clear to me that I would like to start my own business at some point. In September 2017, I did it. I founded the project consulting company WAVANCE. Based on my customers and projects, I know every day that it was the best decision!
